Showcasing the best of Dallas-Fort Worth, Savor Dallas offers a premium selection of world-class wines and delicious food. It is the only Dallas wine and food event staged in the beautiful Arts District for the last six years.
This is your chance to drink-in the arts and enjoy America's largest urban arts district. Here's the game plan for a beautiful afternoon of wine and the arts: Savor Dallas sets premium wines and winemakers inside The Dallas Museum of Art at Seventeen Seventeen Restaurant, the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, the Nasher Sculpture Center--and brand new for 2010: the Winspear Opera House and the Wyly Theatre, in the just completed AT&T Performing Arts Center (AT&TPAC) from 5 to 7 p.m. The idea is to mingle with friends in each Arts District location; sample world-class wines and light hors d'oeuvres inside a beautiful setting; then, stroll to the next location and continue the experience. Yes, you really can "stroll" in downtown Dallas! See the map below.
This is primarily a wine tasting event. There are nibbles offered at each location...mostly to cleanse the palate. Those with hearty appetites may want to plan a snack before attending the Wine Stroll. For a great meal afterwards, we recommend you choose one of the fabulous One Arts District restaurants: Dali Wine Bar, Fedora Restaurant and Lounge, Jorge's, Screen Door, and Tei-An
We encourage you to come for Savor Dallas, and then stay in the beautiful arts district to enjoy the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Opera, art in one of the beautiful museums, or dinner in one of the world-class restaurants in the district. Be sure to check back often for updates on the best Arts District Wine Stroll ever! And, speaking of strollers: through the years, many have asked us if it's OK to bring kids in strollers or children to the event so they can enjoy the Arts District. Our answer remains: Of course, families and children are welcome to attend, as long as the kiddos are well supervised and behaved. In the words of Burt Bacharach, "Think of your fellow man, and put a little love in your heart." Thanks, and a votre santé!
