Weekend events in Arts District and Victory Park
DALLAS (September 18, 2007) - North Texas' premier wine and food weekend returns March 7 and 8 with a renewed focus on Downtown Dallas.
The Savor Dallas Arts District Wine Stroll returns to the renowned Nasher Sculpture Center and Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. A Savor Dallas "Friday evening ticket" will also allow attendees to enjoy a Celebration in Victory Park's AT&T Plaza, including a film screening with AFI DALLAS on March 7 (two great events with one ticket).
Also in 2008, the highly anticipated "International Grand Tasting" moves downtown to the beautiful Plaza of the Americas and Westin City Center Hotel (the official host hotel for Savor Dallas). More than 60 of North Texas' top chefs will showcase their signature recipes on Saturday, March 8, along with over 500 premium wines, spirits and beers. The ultimate epicurean experience features vintners, artisan producers and purveyors from around the globe.
Other exciting North Texas events featuring celebrity chefs and vintners will be announced in the coming weeks.

Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert, DowntownDallas President and CEO John Crawford and other North Texas business and community leaders recently joined Jim White and Vicki Briley- White at an announcement reception hosted at Dallas Fish Market, a new fine dining destination in Dowtown Dallas.

Savor Dallas 2007 brought more than 4,000 attendees to Dallas and North Texas, with attendees from North Texas and across the state, as well as from 14 other states across the country.
Since its founding in 2004, Savor Dallas has contributed generously to the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association's Culinary Scholarship Program, The Arts Magnet Building Campaign for Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and the North Texas Food Bank.
Savor Dallas is a unique weekend extravaganza that provides entertainment and education on the latest in ultra-premium wine, cuisine and spirits - with the special opportunity to interact one-on-one with internationally acclaimed experts in exciting venues.
