Monday, March 3
The Exciting, Entertaining (and Affordable) Flavors of Spain: This year, Savor Dallas will team up with Family Owned Wineries of Spain to host iTasteEspana - a special pavilion at Savor Dallas that will provide an epicurean adventure into the wines and cuisine of Spain. Market Street’s Executive Chef Chris Wilson will do a “show and taste” to help GMT viewers with information on how to throw a Spanish food celebration on a range of budgets, featuring flavorful Spanish food products and how they can be used for affordable entertaining with hot Spanish wines.
Tuesday, March 4
Kids’ Safety in the Kitchen: Tim Love, Executive Chef of Lonesome Dove, and his young son T will show everyone how to be safe in the kitchen, with a focus on knife skills. Chef Love also will highlight his fabulous recipe for the Savor Dallas 2008 International Grand Tasting Chef List. This is in anticipation of Savor Dallas, AFI DALLAS’ and Movie Tavern’s presentation of No Reservations on the high-def screens at Victory Park, free to the public, on March 7.
Wednesday, March 5
The Savor Dallas/GMT Italian Chef Throwdown/Showdown! with Chef Gary Cogill and Chef Chris Conlon: A la the Food Network’s Throwdown with Bobby Flay – Savor Dallas and GMT will host a live fine Italian recipe competition featuring GMT Host and Expert Chef Gary Cogill and Nove/N9NE Steakhouse’s Chris Conlon. These two Italian food fans will prepare a favorite signature recipe on the March 5 show, and North Texas food experts and GMT fans gathered in Victory will taste their creations and vote on their favorite. We’ll include judges from The Dallas Morning News and the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association.

Making Your Kitchen Greener with Fetzer Wines’ Chief Entertaining Officer Tim Laird: Fetzer is the largest grower of organic grapes in the wine industry. The segment with Tim Laird, Fetzer’s Chief Entertaining Officer, will provide GMT viewers with the basics of wine pairing and how to make the kitchen greener.
Friday, March 7
Affordable Entertaining with BeverageLegends Tony Abou-Ganim and Jimmy Bedford: This segment will feature high-style, low-cost entertaining ideas from Master Distiller Jimmy Bedford of Jack Daniel’s, and Tony Abou-Ganim, the Modern Mixologist and beverage menu creator of Las Vegas’ Bellagio. Taking a range of budgets, Tony and Jimmy will provide GMT viewers with three fabulous and affordable cocktail party recipes and suggested beverage menus.
